An Introduction
Louise is a member of the Education & Science Select Committee and the Local Government & Environment Select Committee.
Louise has been involved in a range of industries including education, local government, housing, advertising, education, resource management, agriculture, property, broadcasting, consulting, tourism and information technology. She started her first business at 19.
Former governance roles include the Waikato Community Broadcasters Charitable Trust, and she has been a director on companies involved in property, tourism, project management and consulting.
Professional memberships include Business and Professional Women Cambridge and Taupo, Chambers of Commerce, and Her Business Network. Louise has also been a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand, the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation, the NZ Institute of Management, and the Project Management Institute.
Louise's academic and professional qualifications include the Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Management (ANZIM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (PGDipMgtSt), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Louise lives in Karapiro, south of Cambridge. Louise and is married to Craig and they have three children: Jessica (6), Mac (8) and Hamish (12).
Louise enjoys participating in sporting events and has recently competed in the Round the Lake Relay and the Cycle Challenge.
Louise became a Member of Parliament for the National Party in November 2008.
She was elected with a majority of 5,855 votes.
